Aloha, I am Marissa Garwin.

I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in Hawaii and California. Since 2008, I have dedicated myself to working with teens and families, navigating the complexities of mental health within various educational settings, including public, private, and non-public schools. My clinical experience spans over a decade, specializing exclusively in adolescent and family therapy. I am passionate about my role and feel privileged to assist teens during their pivotal growth phases.

My therapeutic approach is an integrative approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed practices, psychodynamic theories, solution-focused techniques, family systems, person-centered, and emotionally focused therapies, among others. Beyond individual sessions, I offer comprehensive support in care coordination, parenting strategies, and educational system navigation to empower teens to achieve their fullest potential. Having grown up in Hawaii, I deeply value the rich cultural diversity of our community and am committed to serving families from all backgrounds. Thank you for considering me to guide you on this transformative journey.
